This document is not yet finished. I have just started to post my notes in this file. It will be neat and clean when finished. - The files with a .rtl file extension are plot files in Right To Left format which is used by HP inkjet plotters such as my HP Designjet600 - I will add the plot files in other formats soon - The JPG files are posted here so that you can see what the rtl plot file will plot - The plot files are 1:1 scale when there is a reason for it. This will help a great deal when building so that if I missed a measurement that you need, you can measure it on the drawing and get accurate results - This B-36 had a design phase and then a building phase. Better ways to build this plane were discovered after the building phase was started. Many of the better ways were suggested by RC Universe readers. Some of the changes have been added to the design but some are impractical to add in until later. - The nose / canopy has not yet been designed in to this B-36. It will be. - The wing mounting is not shown in the plot files. The B-36 build thread on RC Universe discusses how I did it and has photos. I will get this detail in the drawings at a later date. - Almost all of the parts are made from 1/8" very light balsa. I have started a list of parts on the parts sheet drawings that are made from thicker balsa, from plywood, or from birch sticks. - The design is free for your use. I would appreciate getting credit for the design though. Keep in mind that this is my first attempt at designing a plane, fully scratch built plane, use of brushless motors, LiPo batteries, balsa sheeted plane, fiberglassing, and using FliteMetal. More notes will follow..... Mike Roerig mikeroerig@gmail.com
